Millhill Child and Family Development Center Services
We are a medical link for our children

Millhill Medical Home Link

Our goal is to serve as a medical link for our children, coordinating our findings with each child’s family and clinician. If they are not healthy, they cannot learn. If they are not healthy, they are statistically at higher risk for child abuse.

Compared to the general population, Millhill children are disproportionately affected by medical disabilities. Based on our neuro-developmental evaluations, a high number of our children have also been shown to have developmental disabilities.

Millhill Medical Home Link applies wide-ranging resources to break the cycles of medical and developmental neglect. We identify the problems. We coordinate our findings with each child’s primary care physician. We refer the families to all appropriate specialists, and we drive them to their appointments as needed. Perhaps most importantly, we continuously monitor follow-up services as part of our medical safety net.

Our staff includes a full-time nurse, a part-time neuro-developmental pediatrician, and Robert Wood Johnson’s pediatric medical residents who rotate through our center as part of their training. We are proud of this “service chain” in which our nurse and pediatric consultant train other professionals to work with similar at-risk populations.
