Millhill Child and Family Development Center Services
The goal of OHPS is to decrease placement disruption through comprehensive services to the child and the caregivers.

Out-of-Home Placement Support (OHPS)

In 2001, Millhill implemented the OHPS program to address the unique needs of children placed with relatives or in foster care. The goal of OHPS is to decrease placement disruption through comprehensive services for the child and the caregivers.

OHPS services include home and school visits, the Saturday Respite program, facilitated visitations, mentoring, and court readiness. The Saturday Respite program consists of educational field trips and workshops in art, expressive dance, and theater.

The program has proven extremely effective, as demonstrated by the high number of family reunifications and implementation of other plans leading to positive, permanent placements. All referrals to this program are through the Mercer DYFS offices.

Ages: 6 to 13 years for respite and 3 months to 18 years of age for case management.
